Default proof format
The standard proof is an electronically signed affirmation of service. Electronic signatures are permitted under the Electronic Signatures and Records Act (New York State Technology Law sections 304 and 306).
When to request ink signatures
If a receiving party, internal policy, or downstream process specifically calls for wet-ink handling, request the ink-signed version before the proof package is finalized.
